Finally got the camera back in the water. Pretty dismal swell. There were some occasional head high sets but super long lulls. Kaisers had a few pointy double ups.
Went North Shore last Friday and jumped in at Pipe to take some pictures. The waves were mental - 8 to 12 feet and pumping. Almost got swept down to Rockies on the way in.
November 1st is my favorite Dawn Patrol day on the North Shore. The adults are hungover from booze and the kids are hungover from sugar. Scored this fun right early with a no more than a dozen guys and gals on it. Pipe and some other spots were looking a bit warbled by the wind, but the double ups at this spot weren't too bothered by it. Took some pics from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
There's been a persistent South East swell peppering the south shore for last 4 to 5 days. I went and shot Queens yesterday which was pulling it in nicely. Plenty of waves and some sweet double ups on the inside bowl. Took pictures from 12:00pm to 1:30pm.
Another South Swell was stirring in town today. Shot at Bowls from 12noon to 1:30pm. Waves were 3 to 4 feet. The high tide was killing it in the beginning but things got more lively toward the end, some lips were bashed and some kegs were found. The grom squad was out and force and scoring plenty of fun ones.
Shot Bowls from 10am to 12noon. I was mostly shooting photos but videoed a few wave. Sets were solid 3 feet and there were plenty of smashable sections and fun barrels.
The South Shore was firing on all Cylinders Wednesday. Threes was pumping 4 to 5 feet with buttery offshore conditions. The waves were standing tall against the trades and holding open with more barrels on offer than the last big swell. It didn't last too long but it made up for it in quality.
